Boruto Manga Chapter 51 : Sacrifice – Naruto’s New Form
I have got into manga reading so much that I prefer the manga over the anime. Just kidding, I love both of them equally.
Welcome back to anime reviews. Boruto Manga Chapter 51 is out and, it contained a lot of controversial information that we need to sink our teeth into to decipher. The level of information portrayed in this chapter is mind-blowing.

The main plot point of this series and the first of the events leading up to it might have been revealed. Let’s dive in.
In the last chapter, we saw Boruto jumping into the enemy’s line of sight to save his sensei Sasuke. He revealed some mind-blowing information relating to the inability that ishiki has to kill Boruto.
Boruto reveals information from when he faced off against Boro concerning the ‘divine’ tree, the ten tails.
The time limit that was in effect while Jigen was in existence had been erased due to the ‘existence’ of Boruto’s Karma seal. Boruto being a half Otsutsuki works into their equation of world domination.

Back at Konoha, Shikamaru learns the truth about the ten tails from Amado. He tells him that for it to come to life, it must be fed an Otsutki sacrifice to attain life.
Judging by this construct, ten tails needed all the powers of all the nine-tailed beast to transform. Naruto currently possesses all the abilities of the nine-tailed beasts, so can he be considered as a product of the Otsutsuki clan?
Hinata is also directly an heir to the Otsutuki clan due to their lineage. Toneri, the Otsutki member on the moon, confirmed this. So by that definition, Boruto is already a full Otsustki but, with the imprinting of the Karma seal by Momoshiki, he has become a true vessel, and hence possesses ‘great’ powers. He might be the greatest asset to Kara and cannot, under no circumstance, kill. Comment your views about my theory down below.
Amado further iterates that the reason that Otsutki invades earth in pair is so that one can be a sacrifice to the ten tails and, the other can take on that plan. Kaguya came to earth but lost knowledge regarding what she was doing. She was sealed during the events of the great ninja war and, Jigen was lurking in the darkness then. Kawaki, getting imprinted with the Karma seal, was all part of his plan. With the addition of Boruto, he has additional help.
The concept of Karma was always a fail-safe so that if either one of the Otsutki members dies, they can be revived, in their respective vessels. That is the reason why Ishikki is adamant about obtaining Kawaki.

Amado also reveals that the revelation of Boruto possessing a karma seal changed a lot of things. The relation between the power of the divine tree and the power that the sacrifice possesses is an important matter. The younger the sacrifice, the more sustenance ten tails will receive. Amado describes Boruto as a ‘very powerful’ entity, who is to become a complete Otsustki.
Kawaki is directing his pent up frustration on Amado. He is irritated because he is confined in a place. He has lost his composure and his karma seal was an inevitable weapon towards defeating Ishikki. As Boruto fights for his life against Ishikki, he is jealous and frustrated at the likeliness that he has become a useless pawn in Kara’s game.

Boruto, as a character, was not impressive. He was a brat who was selfish and always put his opinions first. He has changed so much, to an extent that, he feels like an underdog that we can root for.
Boruto removes a Kunai from his pocket and places it on his neck, and threatens to kill himself if Ishhiki moved. Ishikki shrinks Boruto’s kunai knife into a different space. Sasuke and Boruto are faced with a difficult choice. Uncertain of the life span that Ishikki posses they thinking of outrunning him.

Sasuke gets pummeled by Ishikki and Boruto as he uses a Rasengan to get shot down. Ishikki goes on a rampage and wants to break every bone in his body. He outrightly tells Boruto that he will destroy him, but he won’t kill him. He also tells him that the is to be sustenance for the ten tails.
Naruto, the Hokage of the leaf village, rushes to aid Sasuke and Boruto. Some people have said that Naruto has become a workaholic and a person who does not care for his family. I believe that he is ‘quite misunderstood’ in this aspect. His goal from the beginning was to save the whole village from danger, and he has done it time and time again. The portrayal of Naruto as a full-fledged adult is what makes this series amazing.

Naruto rushes towards Sasuke and Boruto’s location but it seems that his sensory skills have been blocked by Ishikki. Naruto is out of ideas as to what to do and asks for advice from Kurama. It’s been a long time since we have seen Kurama in the flesh. After all those long battles, Kurama has had time to rest up.
Naruto just charges in like always. It shows however old you become that, the inner child in you does not fade. Even Kurama acknowledges that. He suggests that there is something Naruto can use on Ishikki if he feels it’s a situation of do or die. Naruto agrees.

As Boruto is beneath Ishikki’s feet, strangling for his dear life, Naruto arrives and saves him. Ishikki taunts Naruto but, Naruto’s convictions are above him. He tells Kuruma that he has been ready to die ever since he thought about being the Hokage. Every Hokage in the Konoha village has sacrificed and put their lives on the line to safeguard the village and its people. It is Naruto’s turn now to do the same.

The journey with Naruto is coming to an end, and the signs are everywhere. Naruto unveils a new form. It is not the form that we have seen during the ninja war.

The only guess I have regarding this form is due to the fusion of Hashirama cells from his hand and Kyubi Chakra. It is a new form in which Naruto may be able to use Kurama’s powers and wood-style Jutsu. His powers might amplify far greater than his body may be able to handle.
Is this the end for Naruto, The Hokage of the leaf village as we know it or, will he persevere and defeat Ishikki in his quest for justice?
Until Next time. See ya!
